ATSSA 55th Annual Convention and Traffic Expo

14 March 2025 Virginia Scheuerle

The 55th Annual Convention and Traffic Expo by the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) was a great opportunity for Greg to explore some of the latest innovations in road safety and infrastructure.

One of the key standout highlights was EnDiYs fully electric line marking truck a revolutionary piece with no hydraulics making it both ultra quiet and environmentally sustainable.

Beyond equipment, the convention offered incredible insights into emerging trends and developments within the industry. A key moment was a fantastic presentation from Juan Pablo Castaneda.

Another key highlight of the event was the Hog Technologies stand where they showcased their cutting edge VR training system. The interactive element was a fun experience and an amazing way to incorporate the latest advancements into workplace training.

Greg also met up with the RoadVista guys and found them all in their QMS socks!

One of the most exciting moments for Greg was seeing the Tesla Cybertruck featured at the RoadVista booth. Regardless of whether one loves or hates the Cybertruck’s futuristic design, there was no denying that seeing one up close was an incredible experience. However, what truly made this moment significant was the demonstration of the RoadVista LLG7. The system’s adaptability was on full display, proving it could be fitted to virtually any vehicle to collect critical data. Greg was particularly impressed with the newly designed user interface, which presents results with greater clarity and enhanced information.

During his visit Greg had the incredible opportunity to participate in a golf tournament in support of the American Traffic Safety Services Foundation (ATTSF). Held at the stunning Omni Resort in Orlando, the tournament took place across two superb golf courses with over 280 players taking part. Greg had the pleasure of partnering with Eric Nelson from RoadVista, who was also the buggy sponsor for the event, and finished in 28th place.

And he just couldn’t get enough! Greg extended his Orlando trip and attended the Hog Technologies HQ in Stuart, Florida. This visit provided an eye opening experience into the latest advancements and innovations being developed by the company.

Overall, the event proved to be an incredible experience packed with innovation, networking, and engaging activities. Greg gives a huge shoutout to the ATSSA for putting together a fantastic convention!
