About the Role:

Due to the growth of our business and an increase in customer demand, we are excited to offer a motivated and detail-oriented individual the opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Estimator. This role provides a fantastic chance to work closely with our Senior Estimator, gaining valuable industry experience and contributing to the securing of future projects. You will be an essential part of our estimating team, supporting the development of accurate and competitive project proposals.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Record and update incoming project enquiries with accuracy and timeliness, including contacting customers to gather project details and ensuring data integrity in our database.
  • Compile and process data from site visits—once visits are completed, input the information into the database and assist in preparing detailed estimates for clients.
  • Maintain the estimating database to ensure it remains current and accurate, supporting efficient project management and decision-making.
  • Assist in building estimates under the supervision of the Senior Estimator, developing your skills and understanding of the estimating process.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and manage client records effectively.
  • Support the team in maintaining good communication with clients and suppliers as required.

Due to continued growth and exciting new projects, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated HGV Driver/Feeder Driver to join the QMS team. This is an exciting opportunity to either start a new career in the highways industry or continue developing your current career!

Key Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the crew supervisor you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 HGV feeder vehicle and play a vital role in keeping our installation crews moving across the UK’s strategic road networks. You will be the backbone of the operation, responsible for managing material prep and arriving on-site to replenish line marking machinery exactly when the crew needs it. Success in this role requires a proactive team player who is willing to assist with wider site tasks and commit to a flexible schedule, including night shifts and working away from home, to ensure our projects are delivered to the highest standard.

The starting pay is £15.44 an hour with uplifts for out of hours as well as a working away from home allowance.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving license is essential for this role.
  • A hardworking individual who is comfortable with the unique demands of the highways industry, including night work and staying away from home.
  • A proactive professional willing to step out of the cab and support the wider team with various site tasks whenever necessary.
  • Due to industry regulations, you must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests prior to and during your employment!

What We Are Looking For:

  • Motivated experienced individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn – this is more important than formal qualifications! This job isn’t an easy ride, but it is incredibly rewarding and comes with a great remuneration package! The starting pay is £14.44 an hour with uplifts for out of hours and HGV licence holders, as well as a working away from home allowance.
  • You will need a manual driving licence and access to your own vehicle, due to the location of our depot and lack of public transport. All crew members are expected to be comfortable driving our vans.
  • Due to industry regulations, you must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests prior to and during your employment!
