Sustainability & Safety Enhancements @J1a M40 Egis Road Operation M40 & QMS

Bright, white road markings increase safety by clearly guiding drivers to their destination. This collaborative programme of works minimised the environmental impact by utilising HyperLine™ material which has the lowest carbon impact. In three years this system reduced CO₂ by 286.1 tonnes.

Utilising intelligent asset management data, the retro-reflectivity performance of road markings was significantly improved making it easier for drivers to see their route ahead especially in during dark, wet night conditions. HyperLine™ road marking system saved 99.07 tonnes of CO₂ in the first major installation on M40.
