QMS Announces Four-Year Partnership with Newtown FC

Starting a pub team in 1973 is one thing. Keeping it thriving for over 50 years, while countless grassroots clubs across the country folded, is something else entirely.

With four of the founders still involved today – and generations of local families pulling on the shirt – Newtown FC is built on that same tight-knit spirit we value as a family-run business ourselves. That shared commitment to community is why QMS is supporting Newtown FC with a four-year sponsorship, supporting a hard-working club right here on our doorstep in Devon.

Newtown FC now fields four teams: a first team in the Devon County League, a second team in the Devon and Exeter League, an under-18s team in the Devon County League, and a veterans team for players aged 35 and over. Running four teams requires £16,000 every single season. That money is raised through pure local effort and powered by volunteers putting in 30-40 hours a week simply to keep the gates open and the teams playing.

As Patrick McDonagh, Newtown FC interim chairman, put it, having QMS as a long-term partner keeps the players looking smart, boosts matchday confidence, and helps maintain what is widely considered the best pitch in the Devon league. Most importantly, it gives a grassroots institution the financial stability to stand on its own two feet.

For many players, this club is a lifeline, a home ground, a social anchor and a reason to stay active and connected. Standing beside a club built on that level of dedication is a natural fit for QMS.

We are looking forward to following the progress of Newtown FC over the next four years and wish everyone at the club a great season.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. There has been a couple of crews doing the lining and antiskid works local to me on the new surfacing project on Callington road, Tavistock and the quality of work is spot on.
Its done nothing but rain here for the last 2 months and as someone who spent over 25 years lining I can appreciate what they`ve been up against, especially with anti skid and MMA lining materials.
