Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 — 24 Years In and Still Moving Forward

Innovation, Partnership and a Busy Year Ahead

Every couple of years, Amsterdam becomes the centre for all traffic technology professionals worldwide at Intertraffic. The RAI Centre fills with engineers, manufacturers, distributors and decision-makers from all over the world to talk product, partnership and updates on the industry. For QMS Managing Director Greg Clark, walking back through those doors for the 12th time felt, as it always does, like coming home, because in that 24 year period, a lot has changed and so much hasn’t.

Greg first attended Intertraffic in 2002, the first one after QMS was formed. The company has grown since, carving out a reputation in the UK road marking market built on strong supplier relationships and a willingness to invest in innovative products. Amsterdam, in many ways, is where a lot of that has been shaped.

Central to that story is Aximum, one of our main product developers and suppliers from France who we have since formed a strong relationship with from first connecting at Intertraffic in 2024. Greg Clark explains, “Working with Aximum, we have developed HyperLine™, HyperGrip™, and most recently, EcoRib™ and ColdMark™. The partnership has always been fantastic, and bringing these systems to market together remains one of my greatest achievements.” During Intertraffic 2026, Greg caught up with the Aximum team for a discussion on our 2026 strategy, making it clear that their manufacturing plants can expect to stay busy producing the QMS portfolio for the foreseeable future.

Across the floor, a meeting with Graco pointed to further investment on the horizon. Greg’s recent visit to Houston had surfaced a machine that caught his eye, and the Intertraffic conversation moved that interest forward. Keep an eye out!

Speaking with Zirocco, Greg took the opportunity to personally thank them for the awesome piece of kit that has helped us continue to deliver work for our customers during the wettest winter on record. In 2025, Greg committed to three of their HammerJet MAX turbine road dryers and over the last four months they have been flat out and haven’t skipped a beat. The kit has been extremely reliable and even with the odd issue, the dial-in telematics allowed Zirocco to calculate and rectify the issue promptly minimising downtime. It is exactly what QMS expects from its partners, and that’s what it got.

The Hofmann team welcomed Greg onto the stand with open arms, where their line marking machine dominated the centre of the exhibition hall. It was a chance for Greg to catch up with the specialists who not only designed the QMS EcoRib™ and ColdMark™ machines we proudly launched at Highways UK 2025, but the people who actually built them. Greg updated the team on the real-world performance, sharing details on completed works, secured contracts, and a forward order book that is building up nicely.

And then there was the unexpected pleasure of Greg bumping into Xavier Bricout, Aximum alumnus turned Dow Chemicals Marketing Manager, for an impromptu conversation about where the market is heading. Xavier was there at the very start of HyperLine™ and HyperGrip™ building the systems alongside Greg. Talking now about the dominance of cold marking products in the industry feels, to both of them, a little like watching something they planted beginning to grow.

Conversations with Graco, MEON, RoadVista, HOG, Geveko, Swarco, WJ and others rounded off a visit that confirmed one thing: QMS is not a company that just wanders around Intertraffic. It goes to move things forward.

And in 2026, there is plenty more moving to be done.
