WHAT A FANTASTIC SHOW! It was the 10th anniversary of the South West Business Expo on Thursday 16th March and the first time that we made an appearance at the event.

With a collection of over 100 exhibitors from within the Southwest of the UK and over 2,000 visitors, the South West Business Expo enabled the opportunity for Southwest businesses to showcase to other Southwest businesses!

QMS Managing Director, Greg Clark said, “I have always been interested in the event and it was great to have QMS represented at the show”.

The Expo was held at Westpoint Arena, just outside of Exeter and featured many different business from within the region. As the only line marking business at the Expo, our stand was steadily busy from the moment the show opened with lots of interest in our full portfolio of marking operations.

Prospective clients were delighted to hear that we are able to mark car park areas, school playgrounds, tennis courts and that we are not just here for the big projects! The business cards were flying off the stand and social media contacts were rapidly being connected throughout the day.

Our fully electric and silent operating ES2000 paint machine is currently busy marking 5,000m of internal line marking within a distribution warehouse in the Republic of Ireland, so special thanks go out to MEON who kindly loaned us a new machine to fill the otherwise empty spot on our stand.

Another star of the show was ‘Nigel’ our pre-marking robot. He heard that we were exhibiting at the show and felt a bit left out sat in his box, so we took him along to enjoy the show! He was raising many smiles around the corridors as he meandered around the Expo hall encouraging people to visit stand 406 and have their socks blown off!

Before we had fully packed down the stand at the end of the Expo and made it home, we had already received enquiries for line marking works in the region. These are planned for visiting next week to return personalised estimates and programme for delivery upon acceptance.

There has been a couple of crews doing the lining and antiskid works local to me on the new surfacing project on Callington road, Tavistock and the quality of work is spot on. Its done nothing but rain here for the last 2 months and as someone who spent over 25 years lining I can appreciate what they`ve been up against, especially with anti skid and MMA lining materials.
