This year’s event ‘Shaping the Future of the UK Road Marking Industry’ focused on discussing the major issues facing the highways industry and how to tackle them head on.
We first had the privilege of hearing the wonderful Joanna White from National Highways deliver the state of the nation message.
Our one and only Managing Director Greg Clark then took to the stage and wow did he blow some people’s socks off!
Greg presented an outstanding presentation covering the new temporary Traffic Management Guidance from the Road Safety Markings Association that we have integrated into delivering our works for Devon County Council. Safety for QMS employees was the driver of us adapting and trialling the new guidance.

We then heard from Ashley Wing and Julie Davidson about the outstanding Re-flow system and as users, the system still blows us away!
It was very informative to hear from Belinda Blake, National Highways regarding diversity in the work place specifically picking up on how the industry can appeal to jobs gender neutrally.
After a day full of exciting talks and networking we headed in for the dinner event. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner with even better company and had the privilege of hearing from Nigel Owens, MBE Welsh former international rugby union referee.
Thank you to the Road Safety Markings Association for organising another amazing event!
An extended thank you to the sponsors and exhibitors.
We sincerely hope that these discussions will be implemented in the future of our industry where we can embrace collaboration, battle the challenges and ultimately make everyone safer!
