Last week, Liam and Virginia headed down to Gloucester Rugby Club to attend the Road Surface Treatment Association’s – RSTA Fact and Friction 2025 event. Now in its third year, this event was hosted in partnership with WDM and WJ Group.
This event brought together local authorities, road operators, and industry experts to share best practices and insights into surface treatments. It provided valuable tips on how to better manage skid resistance and the benefits of incorporating it into part of a more proactive instead of reactive, maintenance strategy.
As specialists in High Friction Surfacing (HFS), we were excited to exhibit at the RSTA Fact and Friction and highlight how our HyperGrip™ system plays a key role in improving skid resistance and making roads safer. Our stand gave us the perfect chance to connect with other industry professionals who share our passion for road safety and reducing serious accidents.
New to this year were the breakout sessions, which allowed attendees to dive deeper into specific areas of interest. The team joined a focused table talk on High Friction Surfacing, an essential component to improving road safety and a massive part of what we offer at QMS.
This session offered a refreshing opportunity for collaboration with all attendees working together on a real-life case study. It was an excellent platform to bring different knowledge and opinions to the table and conclude what steps would make the most significant impact.
Wrapping up our first time at the RSTA Fact and Friction, the event was fantastic and exceeded all our expectations. It was great to make new connections and engage in conversations that we look forward to continuing!
