Engineered by QMS, LifeLine™ is a precision retro-reflectivity survey service powered by the LaserLux LLG7 retro-reflectometer.

Our team brings LifeLine™ to your network, carrying out a full condition survey of your road markings and road studs — and handing you back data that’s ready to act on.

How We Survey Your Network

We mount the LaserLux LLG7 to our survey vehicle and travel your network at normal traffic speeds. The system scans the road surface 400 times per second, logging retro-reflectivity readings at 100-metre intervals on carriageways and 50-metre intervals on slip roads. Road studs are assessed individually for retro-reflective performance and logged within the results tables.

A forward-facing HD camera records every metre of the route, with footage automatically linked to the corresponding data points. The surveying is completed with a single operator possible due to intuitive controls.

We can cover up to 500 km of carriageway in a single eight-hour shift, making it a practical option for authorities managing large or complex networks.

On completion of your survey, we deliver results the same day in formats that work straight away:

• Excel spreadsheets with data tables and performance graphs
• CSV and GIS-compatible shapefiles for your network management system
• KML files for Google Earth with exact locations pinpointed
• HD video in five-minute segments, linked directly to survey results
• Full GPS referencing throughout

Everything is colour-coded against compliance thresholds, so you can immediately see which sections are underperforming without having to interpret raw numbers yourself.
