October Round Up
Looking back over October, the things we’ve enjoyed most have all come down to people. The team on site up North, the volunteers who keep Newtown FC going, and the people we caught up with in Blackpool are all there because they care about what they do, and that’s what this month’s update is about.
New Distribution Hub
We hit the ground running in the North of England this month, taking on the internal and external markings for a major supermarket’s new regional distribution hub. Inside, we deployed WarehouseUV, which cures instantly under UV light with zero VOCs or lingering odours. A huge kudos to the team on site; the work is looking fantastic.
Back at Strictly Highways
We headed to Blackpool for our third year at Strictly Highways. It is fast becoming a staple in our calendar, giving us a brilliant platform to catch up with familiar faces, celebrate the sector’s standout talent at the DfT Special Recognition Awards, and dive straight into the big conversations shaping the future of our road networks.
Newtown FC Sponsorship Announced
October marked the official announcement of our four-year sponsorship with Newtown FC. We love seeing local sport thrive in Devon and Newtown FC is run by people who put everything into their club. Supporting their players and volunteers is something we are really pleased to do.
The Question That Has Divided The Office
It started as a casual question, but the doors versus windows debate has escalated into an all-out office divide. With half the team backing doors and the rest defending windows, we are no closer to an answer than when it started. If October proved anything, it is that QMS runs on its people, and that family feel is what makes the work enjoyable. With just seven weeks to go until Christmas, we wanted to give you a heads up that our holiday shutdown starts on the 23rd December through to the 4th of January.
